About Martin Cleaver
In past lives, Martin Cleaver worked on Systems Integration, working as a Technologist for Reuters and as an Enterprise Architect for Arthur Andersen, in roles located in Hong Kong, the UK and Spain.
Since moving to Canada in 2005, Martin has focused on the nature and value of Collaboration. His company, Blended Perspectives, helps organizations develop strategies, plan for, implement and acculturate Wikis into intranets and extranets. Martin has a special interest in the nature of Knowledge Work and how freeform Collaboration coupled with semi-structured processes can drive exceptional organizational performance. Martin runs http://meetup.torontowikituesdays.com/, and co-runs http://toronto.knowledgeworkers.org/, monthly speaker series featuring local practitioners (such as CBC, RBC, Toronto Public Library, PWC) and international experts (such as Verna Allee, Seth Earley, Ted Graham, Matt Moore, Euan Semple, Dave Snowden.) Since 2007 Martin has held positions for WikiSym, the International Conference on Wikis and Open Collaboration.
Martin Cleaver earned his B.Sc. & M.Sc. Computing Science in 1994/5 from Newcastle University (UK), and his MBA in Strategy and Organizational Design in 2004 from Melbourne Business School (Australia).
