Commenting on your own posts keeps the story intact
Both Karel and Freddy have reminded me about this… when people comment on your blog Wordpress notifies you by email.
So, the temptation is to use email to respond, but this buries the response and closes off the line of questioning to further replies. So, instead, just comment on your own blog. Then everyone can see that you did reply to the commenter, and further, they can build on what was said.
