Martin Cleaver is looking for the right opportunity :)

Hi all,

There is no point being shy about these things - especially as the market and opportunities I prefer to focus on is so narrow…

Currently I am a contractor working as a Senior Manager for a Knowledge Management firm in Toronto, Canada. We specialise in knowledge management
for strategic alignment, focussing on innovation and growth. My particular interest is in blending knowledge management with the Web 2.0 technologies such as Wikis and Blogs, with an aim to build towards conceptmapping / wikis as an overarching strategy-making tool. My technical background (BSc/MSc in Computing Science, trained at Reuters Hong kong in Web development, and at Arthur Andersen at large-scale systems integration) coupled with an MBA reorientation focused at Organizational Development, Innovation and Knowledge Management serves as a platform on which to translate broad cross-organisational issues into integrated computer systems for performance and loosely-coupled human systems for flexibility.

Since my visit to the IHMC back in April this year, I’ve been exploring how I can focus on conceptmapping as the core of my career, initially into the Canadian market.

Presently I don’t really use my hard core Computing Science skills much, but the time is surely ripe. I’d like to bring together the work I have done with wikis since 2001 with conceptmapping, for the goal of knowledge management.

If you work in this space, and have an interest in exploring concept mapping for business, and maybe hiring me or contracting me, or know someone who does, please do get in contact!

(Hey - and don’t hesitate - I’m quite a friendly character!!)
