The community needs the community

I am very much of the opinion that someone should care whether the
community to presents itself as a coherent whole. The CMC2004 and CMC2006 each illustrated that we have extremely capable people. The audience who could not be at the conferences but wanted to be are surely several orders of magnitude larger.

Now, each of us has a story to tell and questions to ask, and I’m clear that the volume and quality of these successes, failures and issues, if centralised would plainly illustrate to any newcomer of a very large, credible and diverse set of people that know that conceptmapping makes a real difference in a host of different situations. Every one of us has faced problems of trying to be “the lone advocate,” felt the relief of being at the conferences and the frustration of being out of reach from the community.

Its time for us to be online. Individually we will exhaust ourselves trying to make a difference. Together is the only way we can voice.

People look to me, as owner of this site to provide technical plumbing to help the ideas flow. And I look to you, as community members to provide content worthy of being plumbed.
