Application forwarded to London, England!

Dated 15 December, we just yesterday received our Application to Sponsor confirmation from the Case Processing Centre, Mississauga (CPC-M). (See Canadian Immigration process started… finally!)

( It took about 7 days for the letter to travel 50km. I could have walked it faster, but its the Holiday Season so let’s just be grateful that Canada Post got it here at all :) )

I was a little surprised to see from this letter that we got a new Client-ID, as I was told that I would keep the same one that I applied for under my work permit.

I was more surprised when I realised that I can log in using my old client id (which until today did not work), as long as I use England (rather than United Kingdom and Colonies). The new official one they wrote on the letter does not work on e-client. I do hope having two client ids is not going to confuse the authorities.

What stunned me was the screen shot showed below (’…’ in the picture is my full name, removed for privacy reasons):

e-client.png

This is what I get when I logged in: only the option to never use e-client again. Nothing about our status, etc.

In a hurry I could easily have ticked the only option on the screen in anticipation that the meat of the system would show on subsequent pages. That would have been tragic!

Anyhow, we’re on track. That’s all we can ask for!
