ConceptDRAW: For free. Only Today.
I met Tari Akpodiete at PodCamp Toronto 2007 a couple of weeks back. Tari was giving talks about a host of things, one talk (videocast) I attended was about MindMapping and Getting Things Done. Like me, it seems that Tari also subscribes to Giveaway of the Day. But, unlike me she spotted this already and was a ‘good enough friend’ to email me about today’s offer:
Today, Giveaway of the Day (GoTD) is giving away - for free - the personal edition of ConceptDRAW, a “mindmapping and brainstorming” software tool. This is a U$120 value, and it can be downloaded free from here - http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/conceptdraw-mindmap-personal/ - activation
instructions are included in the download.
Who or what is GotD you ask:
“…Every day we nominate one software title that will be a Giveaway title of that day. The software will be available for
download for 24 hours (or more, if agreed by software publisher) and that software will be absolutely free. That means - not a trial, not a limited version - but a registered and legal version of the software will be free for our visitors*.The software product will be presented n its full functionality, without any imitations save for those mentioned in Terms and Conditions.”
Tari continues:
MatchWare’s OpenMind BE - http://www.matchware.com/en/products/openmind/ -
remains my favourite software in this category, but it is pricey, as is the
better-known MindJet’s MindManager - http://www.mindjet.com/us/And of course, open source FreeMind - http://freemind.sourceforge.net -
remains an excellent option, and is available for Windows, Macs and Linux
users. Excellent PDF manual, put together by a technical writing student can
be found here - http://www.geocities.com/shaila_kishore/Freemind
Thanks Tari!
